New original song, MySpace page getting a revamp
I just finished up a new original song, “ROMance” - and it includes me singing, so you know it’s gonna be interesting.
It’s a song about geek love, inspired by autobiographical events with my girlfriend Jill. Influences on it range from Freezepop to Star Salzman and I went the full mile with vocoding, 80s drums, robot voices, and chiptune solos. While the sentiment behind it is of course real, it’s not a “serious” track, so this is just a freebie release for your enjoyment

I also wanted to announce that my MySpace page is undergoing renovations. If you’re on there, feel free to friend me. You can even grab the “Hoookah” player, which includes several cuts from Antigravity, and put it on your own page to spread the love.

Very nice! I’ve been a fan of yours for awhile, but I’ve pretty much listened only to your ReMixes on OverClocked. I only recently discovered your site.

I like ROMance! It’s catchy and funny yet not too cheesy. Sounds like “Just What I Needed” by the cars (and probably a million other pop songs that use the progression). The timbre of your voice is pretty viable. Get some more control and confidence, and it could become a valuable asset to you.
But hey, it isn’t as though you’re wanting for vocal counsel

Wow Andrew! Hilarious, cool and … well … sweet. I am sure Jill loves it!
I wrote a song for my wife when we were engaged. I am not much of a musician. It was basically some nice lyrics on some pretty easy guitar chords/progressions. We have been married happily for over three years now and I have since made many things for her including lots illustrations, portraits, cards, poems and the like. … not long ago however, she told me that she wanted me to pick up the guitar more and play her the song I wrote for her. … long story short, I think this song will be very appreciated for a long time.
Knowing you and Jill however, this is probably the first of many musical gifts you two will share with each other.
And thanks for sharing it with the rest of us!
