Command List StarStorm_the_Spazzy_Fuzzball's Command Guide Character Builds

Nightstorm 2 Character Builds

Fighter
Races: Human, Dwarf, Half-Giant, Drow, Bashkar, Terathan.
Favors: Slash or Crush-Tech (4), Offense-Skills (4), Defense-Skills (4)
Weapon: Sword, Axe, or Mace
Useful Wmods: AddDamage, AddSwing, Chaotic, Drain, Hawkeye, Rusting.
Primary Stats: Strength, Coordination, HP.
Secondary Stats: Agility.
Recommended Gear: Armor/Belt/Gloves/Boots + Shield
Important Skills: Weapon techniques, Critical-Strike, Parry, Zeal, Pierce, Toughness.
General Strategy: This is a bread-and-butter melee build. Though it has no magic abilities, it is very capable of defending itself in free-for-alls with its strong defense from the shield + armor combo and high HP. All its damage comes from physical techniques, but since MP is not focused on, the Fighter relies on finishing opponents quickly or conservation of special skills. Fighters generally fare well against every class, but have no special advantages.

Titan
Races: Human, Dwarf, Half-Giant, Bashkar, Terathan.
Favors: Slash, Crush or Pierce-Tech (4), Offense-Skills (4), Void-Tech (4)
Weapon: 2HSword, 2HAxe, Maul, or Spear
Useful Wmods: AddDamage, AddSwing, Drain, Hawkeye, Stunning-Blow, Darkside, Empower.
Primary Stats: Strength, Coordination.
Secondary Stats: HP, Agility.
Recommended Gear: Armor/Belt/Belt/Gloves
Important Skills: Weapon techniques, Garrote, Time-Eater, Critical-Strike, Zeal, Pierce, Rage
General Strategy: This build is designed for very high physical damage, mainly ignoring defense and completely ignoring magic and powering up. Titans depend on doing massive damage with their high Strength and weapon power. Though their MP is usually low, even regular attacks can obliterate targets later on in the Titan's career. Though powerful, Titans are more effective on teams, as they can die quickly if ganged.

Rogue
Races: Human, Terathan, Drow, Kobold.
Favors: Pierce-Tech (4), Offense-Skills (4), Thievery (4)
Weapon: Dagger or Nodachi
Useful Wmods: AddSwing, AddDamage, Nimble, Mindblow, Stunning-Blow (depending on weapon), Magekiller (depending on weapon).
Primary Stats: Coordination, Agility.
Secondary Stats: HP, Strength.
Recommended Gear: Armor/Gloves/Gloves/Boots or Armor/Gloves/Boots/Boots + Shield (depending on weapon)
Important Skills: Sneak, Circle, Disarm, Backstab, Weapon skills, Critical-Strike, Pierce.
General Strategy: Rogues are similar to other melee classes in that their damage comes solely from physical attacks, but different in their delivery. Rather than depending on high physical defense, they rely on dodging and skills like Sneak to avoid taking damage. Also, their individual hits are not as strong as a Fighter's, but they have higher accuracy, and swing more often. Rogues are capable soloists, but fare better assisting another character.

Mage
Races: Human, Kobold, Terathan, Elf, Mystic.
Favors: Arcane-Skills (4), Fire or Druidic Magic (4), Alteration-Magic (4)
Weapon: Wand or Staff
Useful Wmods: Luminescent, Willpower, Rejuvinate, Conservation, Weapon-Block (depending on weapon)
Primary Stats: Focus, MP.
Secondary Stats: Agility, HP.
Recommended Gear: Robes/Robes/Robes/Boots
Important Skills: Damage magic, Float, Imprison, Lockdown, Meditate, Focus, Surge.
General Strategy: Mages are traditional spellcasters, able to deal high amounts of damage with destructive magic, or balance the playing field with alteration magic. Mages are difficult to play at first, due to low MP and lack of good weapon mods, but get progressively more powerful as they obtain new passive skills and spells. Though Mages can often take a beating because of their multiple robes, and experienced Mages can take on multiple players at the same time with spells like Lockdown, they fare best in team combat (especially Fortress, where they have a range advantage).

Archmage
Races: Mystic or Elf.
Favors: Arcane-Skills (4), Time-Magic (4), Forbidden-Magic (4)
Weapon: Wand or Staff
Useful Wmods: Luminescent, Willpower, Rejuvinate, Conservation, Weapon-Block (depending on weapon)
Primary Stats: Focus, MP.
Secondary Stats: Agility, HP.
Recommended Gear: Four Robes.
Important Skills: Forbidden magic, Concentrate, Focus, Turbo-Magic, Meditate, Stop, Overdrive.
General Strategy: The Archmage is a variant of the Mage build that is based entirely on damage. Forbidden-Magic, the most powerful damage magic available, combined with high Focus, the Luminescent mod, and passive skills such as Focus, the Archmage can potentially deal more damage than any other character. However, they are extremely weak defensively, as they lose HP from casting Forbidden-Magic, a problem that is not solved until later, when they can get Stop magic to even the playing field.

Ranger
Races: Human, Drow, Bashkar, Terathan or Kobold.
Favors: Bow-Tech (4), Alteration-Magic (4), Offense-Skills (4)
Weapon: Shortbow, Longbow, or Crossbow
Useful Wmods: AddSwing, AddDamage, Hawkeye, Drain, Glowing, Rusting, Stunning-Blow.
Primary Stats: Coordination, MP
Secondary Stats: Strength, Agility.
Recommended Gear: Armor/Gloves/Gloves/Boots.
Important Skills: Zeal, Bow skills, Pierce, Lockdown, Float, Crushing-Blow, Imprison.
General Strategy: Rangers (or archers) are excellent characters when played correctly, but require some skill. They lack true defensive capabilities, and cannot do much damage until they get the majority of their skills, which mainly deal damage through hitting many times accurately. They excel at taking advantage of larger maps, and fit best in Fortress matches, where they can either snipe Attackers or float to the relic quickly.

Assassin
Races: Human, Drow, Terathan or Kobold.
Favors: Offense-Skills (4), Thievery (4), Void-Tech (4)
Weapon: Dagger or Nodachi
Useful Wmods: AddSwing, Hawkeye, Rusting, Stunning-Blow (depending on weapon), Weapon-Block (depending on weapon).
Primary Stats: Coordination, Agility
Secondary Stats: Strength, HP.
Recommended Gear: Armor/Gloves/Gloves/Boots + Shield (dependong on weapon)
Important Skills: Zeal, Crushing-Blow, Garrote, Critical-Hit, Assassinate, Circle, Backstab.
General Strategy: Assassins are tough characters to play, as they are only truly powerful later on. Though they are a melee class, their damage comes almost entirely from Crushing-Blow with occasional kills from Assassinate. As they often have ridiculous Coordination, Agility, and swingspeed, they can rip apart even the most defensive enemies using Garrote and Circle or Backstab. They work best in team deathmatches, but are good soloists later in their career.
