Original Video Game Music Temple Boss - Ethnic / Orchestral - Part of the Chroma Chaos soundtrack. This is the music that plays when you are fighting the boss of the first level - a giant, stone statue of an ancient war god. Last Level (Mountains) - Ethnic / Orchestral - Part of the Chroma Chaos soundtrack. This is the music that plays in the final level, which is a treacherous mountain. In this level, everything is out to get you; trees try and grab you, monsters assault you from all angles, and boulders are falling everywhere. Final Boss - Ethnic / Orchestral - Part of the Chroma Chaos soundtrack. This is the music that plays during the player's encounter with the final boss, who is the same war god that was fought in the first level, but now in his true and final form, a monstrous scorpion-like creature. Sakura Festival - Ethic (Japanese) / Orchestral - Written for the Tatsumaki: Land at War soundtrack. This song accompanies a calm, relaxing area with pink trees shedding their blossoms. River and Town - Ethnic (Japanese) - Written for the Tatsumaki: Land at War soundtrack. TLaW is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online roleplaying game) that is set in feudal Japan. Music for MMORPGs tends to be short, sparse, and cue-like in nature, playing when the player enters certain areas. This song plays when the player enters a serene area with a calm, running river and a small town. Ragnarok - Synth Rock / Orchestral - The winning entry of the Original Video Game Music Competition 2 (OVGMC2). The theme was 'desperate battle'. I envisioned an epic and climactic battle between a group of heroes and a very powerful foe, and did my best to create a piece around that theme. Warpspeed - Electronic / Techno - Written for a prototype space shooter game. It's upbeat, new-age electronica/techno that will play during the levels of the game. Close Encounter - Electronic / Techno - Written for the same game as Warspeed. This fast-paced electronic song will play during the boss fights fo the game. Bedlam - Orchestral / New Age - A laid-back, atmospheric orchestral song for use in a turn-based strategy game set in medieval times. The instruments, particularly the percussion, are meant to reflect the setting of the game. Bereavement of Hope - Electronic / New Age - The winning entry of the Original Video Game Music Competition (OVGMC1). The theme was 'devestated world'. This is a simple song in structure, but it gets the mood of a ruined world across well. Pitfire - Electronic / Orchestral - A video game background composition I wrote for X Game Project. They requested 'fast-paced action music', and this was the result that they happily accepted. Blackened Blade - Synth Rock / Electronic - An uptempo, energetic boss theme I wrote on request for a member of the GameMaker Community. Righteous Fury - Synth Rock / Electronic - For the soundtrack of "Illusion", an in-development PC RPG I am writing the music for. This song is the battle theme of the game. Autumn Beauty - Acoustic / New Age - For "Illusion". This is the theme of the female protagonist. Phantom Omen - Orchestral - For "Illusion". This is the title screen music when the game is first started. Desperation - Orchestral / Electronic - For "Illusion". This is the music that accompanies the cinematic introduction sequence. Though one of my first attempts at film-score-esque orchestral music, it came out well. Overdrive - Synth Rock / Electronic - For "Illusion". This song is the normal boss battle theme of the game. Wave of Darkness - Orchestral - For "Illusion". This is the music that plays when the villains are planning something devious.
